Sorry for the late post, I've been monitoring the weather for Friday and it will still be very hot in the evening so I am having to cancel Scouts.

Definite London Camp - BOOK NOW!!!

Yay!!! We have enough Scouts to go ahead with the London camp. I have booked accommodation at the North London Scout Centre Scafell Pike building), so our London camp is ON. We will leave Boreatton Park at 10.00am on Monday 30th March travelling to London and returning around 5pm on Thursday 2nd April by minibus. There will be several activities on the Tuesday and Wednesday including (subject to confirmation) a Thames river trip, a spin on the London Eye, a visit to Hamleys toy store, and anything else we can wedge into 2 days. Bonfire Night Help

Hi, Boreatton is running the Baschurch bonfire and fireworks on Saturday 1st November again along with the village hall committee. The money we raise from this pays for Capitation - a fee we pay to the Scout Association for insurance, HQ services and many other things HQ provides which will cost us nearly £70 per child in February - not a small sum! Some Groups add Capitation to their subs, some do year round fundraising roping in parents, we prefer to raise the money (about £2500 needed) in one big hit at the bonfire. All your Leaders will be working at the event BUT we desperately need your help to put the event on. We need help on the gates, stewards and help running the BBQ.
