Let's Make a Mangonel... Friday 22nd November

 

A mangonel - no it's not a sort of vegetable, it's a weapon of war devised by the Romans and used by medieval hooligans to knock down castles.

This Friday we will make mangonels and see how far we can lob a glowstick on the netball court.  Full uniform but a coat and torch might be a good idea.

Below are the knots that you will need to use;

 And using some string, garden canes and knicker elastic (ask your Mum or Guardian) you will end up with something like these;

Apologies that we aren't doing the Shelterbox camp as per the blog - work has got in the way for me.  I will try to organise one for next term.  Phil.
