canoeing

At last! We are running 2 canoeing sessions, one on Friday 10th and the other on 17th of May. Please only choose 1 session and note that there isn't an alternative meeting at the hut on the Friday that you aren't canoeing. Please arrive at 6.30, we are on the water at 7.00, and the session finishes between 8.45 and 9.00. These are the details from the club; Appropriate Clothing for weather conditions: (You will get wet) Wetsuit (if available) please be aware a wetsuit in cold conditions is very cold when not in water Nylon/thermal t-shirt, Fleece Jumper, Cagoule / Shell. (We can provide this if needed) Tracksuit Bottoms / Leggings. (Not Cotton, Jeans are COTTON) Shorts if Warm weather Warm hat if cold, Peaked Cap if Hot Sun cream if the weather is very hot as Risk of Sun burn Footwear: Wet boots, Trainers, Pumps. Jellies (if not slip on) Do Not wear Wellies/Crocs/Flip Flops Please be aware if you have no footwear for going in the water then you will not be allowed to take part...

Dinghy Sailing Friday 5th July

Friday the 5th of July is time for us to go sailing at Whitemere. Start time is early - arrive at 6.00PM to be on the water at 6.15, finishing about 8.00. PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME. Parents are very welcome to stay. Please dress for getting wet so either a wet suit or old clothes would be good. Please also bring a change of clothes and a towel, there are showers in the club house. Bringing a drink and a snack would be a good idea too. The cost is subsidised, but we ask for a contribution of £6.13 please. Shooting Friday 6th December

Learn a new skill this Friday. Air rifle target shooting isn't as easy as you think - you need patience, breath control, steady hands and concentration. Give it a try this Friday. There are 2 slots available, 6.45 session or 7.45 session.
