Continuing with our Survival Skills theme, this Friday in the woods we will be looking at knives, safety and their uses. We will provide the Groups own bushcraft knives and hopefully will carve a cooking tool to use on camp and something to help light fires.

All Scouts and leaders need to wear facemasks (even if you are at primary school). If you are medically exempt you'll need to clear that with Phil and wear a sunflower lanyard.

Pair of old gloves that won't melt near a fire and you don't mind getting damaged.

Follow the road to Wykey from Ruyton XI Towns, past Packwood Haugh school, through Wykey and after a kilometre take the first turn right. Continue down this straight lane and Bentleys Marsh Coppice is on the right, look out for the sign. There is a small pull in to drop-off. Be aware the road over the railway to Henbarns / Haughton is closed to cars.
