Caving - Beginners Trip to Llanymynech Cave
Friday 1st February
Meeting point - 7pm drop-off at Bryn Offa Primary School car park, Rockwell Lane, Pant, Oswestry, SY10 9QR
Collection - same place 9.30pm
You will need old clothes including a warm coat and hat, caving is enormous fun but very dirty!, good fitting wellies or walking boots and snug fitting gloves. Lamps and other kit will be provided by the County Caving team who will be leading us on our exploration of the otherworld beneath our feet.
There will be Hot Chocolate and Biscuits at the surface when you come back. Caving is one of the many adventurous activities that you can do as a Scout, it will count towards your Adventure Challenge Badge and you may like caving so much that this could be the start of an amazing journey into the least visited places under the earth!
6 Summits Challenge Training Hike No.2 - places left
The next training hike is on 10th February, details to follow. We now have an Expedition team and part of the Training team. The Training team do the three day challenge event carrying only a daypack. We need at least two more Scouts for this team, two girls would be perfect to make up the numbers.
