[Please note the night hike planned for the 21st is now cancelled]
For our last session of 2018 we are heading down the woods for a festive, open fire-cooked feast of turkey, roast spuds and sweet chesnuts with traditional puddings and treats! No Sprouts!!! We'll construct a shelter or two and have-a-go at building a bridge using teamwork and Scout ingenuity! Sunday is part 2 of the Pioneers Activity Badge following on from last Friday's indoor pioneering session.
You will need tough and warm outdoor clothing, strong boots, waterproof coat, warm hat, gloves, layers to keep you warm, a rucsac containing a drink, Christmas treat to share with your Patrol or toast on the fire, plate, knife, fork, spoon and mug, personal first aid kitand something to sit on.
Finally please put your uniform shirt and necker in a waterproof bag ready for the final Flag of what has been another amazing Boreatton Scout Troop year!
We will provide the main meal, bushcraft knives or you can bring your own locking/fixed blade knife which must be handed in to a Leader on arrival, thank you. No penknives.

Follow the road to Wykey from Ruyton XI Towns, past Packwood Haugh school, through Wykey and after a kilometre take the first turn right. Continue down this straight lane and Bentleys Marsh Coppice is on the right, look out for the sign. There is only a small pull in to drop-off in so a rapid turn around please, thank you.
