6 Summits Challenge Event [3 Days - 36 Miles] Saturday 4th May to Monday 6th May
We can enter a maximum of three teams. For 2019 we are aiming for two teams. A Full expedition team who will carry all their camping kit [we expect this will be an Explorer and older Scout team] and a Scout team who just need to carry a daysac as their kit will be transported by the Boreatton Support Crew.
Each training session will teach you the skills you will need to be successful in this unique challenge event - navigation, first aid, trangia stive cooking, kit care and teamwork.
Please note the 6 Summits Challenge Registration Day is 20th January - full details to folllow early in the new year. Please ensure if you are interested that you put the dates in your diary.
To be eligible to take part you will need to be 12 or will be 12 by the 4th May next year.
There is a small fee and decent kit is a must, don't forget Scouts who take their necker into Go Outdoors get a discount - walking boots and a warm sleeping bag are invaluable!! Maybe something for the letter to Santa!
Boreatton have now sent 5 successful teams to take part in the 6 Summits Challenge, each team taking on the big hills of South Shropshire with courage and big grins! Now its your turn......
