Please note there are new security arrangements at the PGL gate and you may have to ring through to PGL reception to get in if there is not one of the adult Scout Leaders there to let you in. We will try to ensure this is covered but please bear with any delays.
This Friday 14th October is our first night hike of the term. Please wear comfortable walking boots with ankle protection, bring a waterproof coat, warm hat, gloves, suitable trousers and base-layer top, fleece type jacket top, head torch or torch, small rucksack to carry snacks, drink and coat if not raining and waterproof over-trousers.
This is our shakedown hike as we go into the winter, a chance to check your kit out and get used to moving across wild country in the dark.
Collection point is Pine Car park at Nesscliffe Country Park [this is the upper car park roughly in Postcode area SY4 1DG, Please note it is not the lay-by parking on the lane down to the school!] at approximately 9.30pm.
Please note we have received complaints regarding our parents driving on the grass alongside the PGL driveway, there is a passing space and it may require a bit of waiting, thanks for your co-operation, we don't want to lose any goodwill with our PGL landlords.
Finally please note the invites to the caving and mountaineering activities, sign up if you qualify, these are fantastic opportunties to live the adventurous life, don't let Bear Grylls have all the fun!!!!
And finally remember to collect your conkers!! I have mine and they are ready to swing!!
