Saturday 29th September at The Hut 10am to 4pm
Love cycling and want to find out how to get more out of you and your road machine then join us for a one day cycling masterclass. This session is about road bikes rather than mountain bikes though some of the skills are obviously shared[we will put on a mountain bike session in the future if there is demand]. This Saturday you will have a go at basic bike maintenance, puncture repair and learn about being safe on the road. For the second half of the day you will work in teams to plan an afternoon cycle and head out to test your stamina and route - 25 miles max.
Successful completion of the day will earn you the Cyclist Activity Badge.
You will need to be wearing a cycling safety helmet, no helmet, no ride!
and bright, cycle friendly clothing, prepare for rain, it is Autumn!
have a serviceable bike [sorry, not BMX on this occasion]. Bring a packed lunch and a drink bottle with either a backpack or on the cycle in a rack.
We will head out from The Hut and be back there for a final round-up by 4pm. Please let Pete and Wayne know on Friday if you are coming and ask any questions you have to ensure you get the best out of the day. Happy Pedalling!!
