Eadric the Wild - Last Saxon Standing!

Jamboree On The Trail 2018
Sunday 13th May

For a brief moment after William the Conquerer landed in Saxon Britain in 1066, defeating King Harolds army near Hastings in the far south, here in Shropshire a few Saxon Lords held out against the Norman knights. the most famous, Eadric the Wild of Shropshire retreated into the Stiperstone Hills, defiant, undefeated and then even his fire faded and was lost in time.
