This Friday In the footsteps of Beowulf!

Friday 6th October
When Beowulf and his companions were up to their bravest, brave-stuff, local folks believed that humps and pools in the back country were home to Giant White Worms or unhappy creatures forlornly puddling about in their damp, lakeside lairs. Join us for a night-time exploration of Saxon Shropshire, practice a war cry 'Ut, Ut!!!' , whistle weakly to keep the dark at bay and return triumphant to our Great Hall!

Ok, alright,it's the Autumn night hike!
Please meet at Petton Church [St Raphael & St Isidore] at 7.30pm.
Please note parking is very limited so hop out & make way for the next vehicle, thanks.
[Please note the postcode for this location seems to cover most of north Shropshire!!!]

We will be aiming to be back at The Hut by 10.30pm, for a hot drink and collection for the homeward journey.

Each Scout who attends needs the following kit - Walking boots [comfortable]. waterproof coat & over-trousers, base-layer, fleece, walking trousers/tracksuit trousers, head torch or just a torch, snack, water in a bottle, warm hat and gloves, rucksack to carry stuff in and the heart of a lion!
