Ness to West [Felton] Night Hike and Sleepover -
8.30 pm Friday 7th April to 10am Saturday 8th April
This Friday 7th April we have our last session of the term and our most ambitious night hike to date but 'Adventure' is our middle name, well no, but you get what I mean!
We will be trekking from The Pines car park at Nesscliffe Country Park - Postcode SY4 1DG, across the Cliffe and then on to our overnight bunkhouse in West Felton Methodist Church Hall on Tedsmore Road Postcode SY11 4EH.
Total distance 7 miles over farmland, heath and woodland in the dark!
Drop off at start point Friday is at 8.30pm at The Pines car park - SY4 1DG
Collection Saturday morning is 10am at West Felton Methodist Hall
For the hike you will need comfortable walking boots, suitable clothing, Scout necker, head-torch or a torch, reflective or light item of clothing, waterproof coat, water bottle [filled] , snacks, rucsac, warm hat and gloves, water proof trousers.
We plan to stay overnight at the hall and for this you will need to bring a sleeping bag, camp mat or air bed, pillow, pyjamas and wash kit. Also please bring a mug, plate, bowl, knife, fork and spoon. We will provide a supper and breakfast.
Parents note - To drop off overnight kit please go straight to West Felton Methodist Hall which will be open from 8pm onwards with our base team, thanks - please also drop off a dry set of warm spare clothing just in case.
