Following on from last years successful Division Two racing in York, the BEaSTs took two cars to this years National Scout Car Races.
BERP, the 2012 season car was now promoted to the Premier Division and ran with only minor improvements to the drive chain system.

The brand new 2013 car, "The Wave" made it's first outing as a Division One car,
they were expecting it to be good, and it was, powering home to first place in its first ever race. This was quickly followed by a second place before a freewheel failure cause repeated problems.

BERP had some serious competition in the Premier Division but the Explorers powered past our Bruntingthorpe nemesis, Team Crude, car 63, due in part to some fantastic pit stops to take First Place in the Grand Prix.

Trying hard not to be outdone the Scouts took Third Place in the Premier Division Grand Prix and The Wave drivers came Second in the Division One Grand Prix, albeit driving BERP.

To round off the day the Explorers got a Third Place in the team event.
