As you know we have a small team of Scout Mechanics building a racing pedal car for the National Scout Car Race which will take place at Rufforth Airfield in York on the 7th July. You can read all about the engineering on our blog. Boreatton Racing

We need two drivers under 12 and two under 14 on the day of the race. They will be chosen using some of the following criteria...
Since we haven't finished our car, the trials will take place partly on bicycles and partly on our recumbent simulator.

- A Bike Helmet (Mandatory)
- Gloves (advisable as the surface is a bit loose)
- A bike, though you may be able to share?
- Lots of energy!
- Activity Form (attached).

- Are you available that weekend?
- Are you the right age?
- Are you fast?
- Are you competitive but a good team player?
- Will you get the team disqualified for aggressive or un-scouting behaviour of driving?
