You'll be please that we are starting this term as we ended the last.
All the lost rockets have been recovered, except the half that someone took home. So bring your rockets back and we'll do a preflight check and get them launched. It's a bit lighter now so we should be able to see them and Alan has a cunning plan to work out high how they will fly. The Explorers are going to Korea in summer so he's quite keen on a successful series of launches.
I'll get the programme written up soon but in the meantime here's one we need to sort out quickly.
RAF Cosford have agreed to teach us all we need to know to get our aeronautics badge. That'll include, preflight checking one of their Piper PA28's and a 30 minute flight. Unfortunately it'll cost you £10 plus your £35 subs. We are not restricted on numbers but we need to tell them how many are going quickly to get the planes booked. If you want to come, complete the activity form and bring in the money and your subs by the 4th April. The planned date is Saturday 23rd June but if the weather is unsuitable we try the 13th July.
Typical of this term we'll have a lot of outdoor activities and 2 or 3 will be at weekends.
Since we'll be in two groups for this activity we could do with a couple of CRB'd parent helpers if possible, can't promise you a flight though, but if you smile nicely :-)
