District archery

The Borders district has set up a District Archery Club. The county have sent a team to the National Scout Archery Competition for the last couple of years and we've had great fun and Boreatton have always done well and been a big part of the county group. This year, now we have more kit and leaders available, we're setting up a District Club that will meet once a month at the indoor range at Sundorne, or later, we'll shoot at the Bowbrook Field which is just the other side of Shhrewsbury. The District Club will be where theBorders contingent of the Shropshire Team for the NSAC weekend is selected so we should definately get involved (so I have an excuse to go to NSAC!).
Let me or Phil or Pete know if you are interested and we'll sort out logistics with you, and p'raps I'll get to the next meeting and try my hand at wheelchair archery!
Next meetings are 6 March and 10 April. You don't need any experience or kit as both are supplied! If you are keen we can also practice at my indoor range too!

There was a ballista competition too - Boreatton's was a full sized compact Hatra Ballista siege engine... A bit heavy though so we weren't the fastest! (coolest though (c: )

Spot the 7 Boreatton scouts!
