away you river scout

Lots of new scouts to prove themselves at the end of Jan as we didn't get to make bridges last term - here we are with our bridges and fire, in the dark and mud and ice (it was very cold - brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr says Al-in-the-river)! Away across to the other side you river scouts... welcome to the troop!

Where the heck did the snake come from????
ntulube (away you river snakes) is a traditional zulu chanted song about making a river safe for childrento swim (fall) in - hence the river snake in our video to emphasise that our river is not yet safe and so the bridge must be strong! It seemed to fit!
