We're Going to Turkey!!!!

What a great day we had.
The team worked really well together giving two really good presentations. All the heckling at Scouts on Friday obviously worked well as the team are UK champions for the research project and have won through to the Open European finals in Istanbul, Turkey.
They are called the Open championships because all countries can compete and this year there will be 76 teams from the following countries:-

United States, Canada, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Czech Rep, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Portugal, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Turkey, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Chile, China, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Singapore, Malaysia, South Africa, Jordan, Egypt, South Korea, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Haiti, Columbia, Thailand, Indonesia, Argentina.

Bert3e didn't behave as well as he did in Manchester and so we didn't win the outright prize to go to the Open World Final in Taiwan.
BUT we know he's capable of being up with the best in the UK (The best UK team this year were world champs last year).
Finally we must say thanks to Concorde College for letting us share their minibus and concede their robot was better on the day.

Setting up the sensors in the pits before Round One.

Some of the Crowd in the huge Loughborough University Netball arena.

On the main stage with the Paul Sleem, warming up the crowd with the drums, cornet and flags.

Bert3e went for a climbing lesson in Round One...

Teams READY, Judges READY, 3 2 1 GO
