autumn leaves

Despite warnings from the bbc weather site of dire conditions we had perfect autumnal light and had a great time in the castle, in the forest and on the Wye. Slightly lord of the rings themed as we stayed in the Gatehouse of Osgiliath, wandered through the forest of Lorian, paddled down the Great River, survived the rapids of Cair Andros, and passed safely through the Mines of Moria. The dwarves were paid their silver penny...

...well a bit like that...

The backing track is rather more melancholy than the camp, but I liked the song and it goes with the light and the season. More photos will appear in a picasa web album...

Thanks to all 4 Growed-Ups for all the time and effort again.
It seemed very quiet without our absent scouts. Can you take them for a bit longer next time , maybe a couple of years?
