Friday was arranged as a day to play sports against a group of local youths - they planned a football game, but put us up against the local champion football team (!!!)
- so coming second was pretty good really...(?) (especially as our trainers were soaked from the canoeing so we had to play in hiking boots!)
But we got our own back by continuing a 600 year old tradition of visiting English groups giving archery demonstrations to the french!
Then in the afternoon we presented our wood themed gift to the local primary school (garden Jenga with the blocks carved/whittled/burned with our names and details.
They performed a 'spectacle' for us (and some of us joined in!) 
...before we went off for our favorate pastime (supermarket shopping???)
