Next week we plan to do an independent night navigation exercise (the troop was getting big again so this should be a good exercise for Darwin Year...) 
We meet at Baschurch Church at 8pm and will dispatch the scouts in patrol sized chunk in the general direction of PGL. Those that make it can be collected from the scout hut at about the usual time.... There is some uncertainty in timings dependent upon navigation skills, so apologies in advance if the timing is very different!
Bring a torch with batteries that will last at least an hour!
Also kit for walking outdoors - decent shoes/boots, waterproof and warm layers, compass, whistle, first aid kit if you have them.
You may also want to bring a drink and snack in case of emergencies (standard hiking kit...)
