In complete contrast to my previous post... The Drum Corps paraded and opened the Baschurch village fete. It was great drumming and marching and a real achievement due to hard work and practice during the regular practice meetings.
We then let youngsters at the fete have a free go which lots of little ones really enjoyed - great!
And just as behaving badly closes doors... doing your best opens them - the British Legion have affiliated our group to their branch (we get extra decoration on our colours), and an experienced drummer has volunteered to give up his time and come and teach us some new stuff next term.
It's a break over the summer now, and the Drum Corps start back on the 10th September with a free trip to bowling and laser quest (and burger and a coke!) which is a treat from Roger and me.
