Litter scouts!

not louts.

It was a bit soggy, but we had a great time at the fair! The scouts all worked hard, but because we had a good turn out (I only got about half of them in the photo) there was plenty of time for breaks. And because they were helping, everyone was helpful back...
Quite a few scouts got to do falconry, and after the end, the falconer gave us a special look at his birds including his new baby buzzard (Cute?) and a play with his ferret (they are really flexible and enjoy being tied in figure 8 knots so good for rope skills practice!), the archers let all the scouts doing the litter pick have free gos, and the fart-sac had free chocolate coke strawberries etc , and the trangier and storm kettle for scouts to make noodles, or just play with fire (which is always entertaining ). Finally, after working hard all day, we retired to the pub for coke and chips (as you do)!

A big thanks to the Charter Group for organising the fair - and involving us in it! We had a great time.

P.S. Those that were litter pickers from start to finish have done most of their Community Challenge Award - see me about completing the challenge
