It was guns and swords again at the end of term… so here’s some pics! Mini-Matt was keen that he was seen to be sharp shooting,
but he wasn’t scariest scout!

Meanwhile, the other half troop was fencing and behaving excellently (much better guys…)
Also, we were appointed to be a Junior Science Book Judging Panel again this year by the Royal Society (Hurrah!) We were one of 75 panels appointed out of 400 or so applications so that’s great – it was a lot of fun last year – everyone who signed up on the troop night is on the panel, so I’ll be in touch and we’ll get together soon. You have to review a book, test it by experiment, and then get fame and fortune (OK – no fortune, but you do get to keep your book, so that’s a small step to fortune….) see their website at http://royalsociety.org/sciencebooks
