Super bright!

Hey - they were great...
Here are the Boreatts creeping up to the PGL sports barn to lighten their world...
Sparkle!

Scary graffiti scout!!!

Excellent opportunity for photography in the dark! Unfortunately I forgot my camera so these are all mobile pix, which I guess is in keeping with the theme of urban cyberpunk graffiti.... Light up the Corbet sports hall clad!!

If you want more...
.....
they cost about 50p a throw - get the leds from www.maplin.co.uk (or go to Telford and see what you're getting), where the cheapest bulk buy leds are if you buy the velleman santa mini kit which has 126 leds for £8 (6p each - chuck the rest of the kit) or smaller quantities of leds from about 20p each. You need 3v disk batteries and we used CR2032 batteries from http://ukdvdr.co.uk/shop/CR2032-Lithium-Coin-Cell-Battery-pr-19907.html for about 31p each. Finally, rare earth disk magnets from http://www.first4magnets.com/f4307---10mm-dia-x-1mm-thick-n42-neodymium-magnets-pack-20-6-p.asp which is about 11p each. OK, really finally, PTFE tape for £1 you get 10 rolls at the pound shop!

Meanwhile, thanks Idris for coming over - we'll get undergound next term whilst the evenings are dark on the outside! At least one of the three keen cavers thought it was great and has shown me all the stuff you covered!

Just for a change, next week's troop night is as in the prog!!!!! We will beat the cubs in a cubs v scouts quiz night with Colin (our DC) handing out £1000000s (it says on the prog). I need to sort out a swimming practice and night hike for following weeks - details to follow subject to PGL maintenance schedules

Finally, well done to all those recieving badges and promotions to APL/PL/SPL. These all recognise commitment and achievement - keep it up!

PS Thanks for the comments guys - its good see some now and to know you're out there - keep it interactive! BTW you can send me suggestions for the prog etc via comments on the blog, so if you have any good ideas just let me know.
