High point

Several scouts asked how far we hiked, but didn't believe me when I said it was only four and a half miles - here's the route! We should have been able to jog this in about half an hour!
Anyway - next events... Ro-boreatteers are having a day to crack on with the challenges and think about the project on 26-10-07 8:30-17:30, and then we are back to term time. The first meeting on 2-11-07 we will have the drum corps showing the cubs what its all about, so we are likely to vary the troop night as we had been going to do swimming practice for the gala and as its after half term we are unlikely to be able to use the PGL pool - we will book the same pool as last time I hope in Shrewsbury - I'll keep you posted. Drum corp will have to turn up early for the cubs, but it will be a good opportunity to practise marching with drums before the Remembrance day parade.
Don't forget - drum corps and colour party will be needed for the rehersal at lunchtime on 10 November and then the whole troop for the parade on 11 November. We do not parade often and so this is the one time in the year when I expect all the scouts to attend. I expect scouts to take priority over other activities on this one occasion!!!
