Important things

Hooray, we are back again for another term of fun and excitement!

2 very important things are happening very soon - our Group AGM and the St Georges Day Parade.

As we are a charity we have to have an Annual General Meeting by law, and ours will be on Thursday the 28th of April at the hut between 7.15 and 8.00.  We will cover what we have done as a Group this last 12 months, what income we have had and how it has been spent, any questions can be asked of the people running the Group, and we will eat cake and drink tea.  Anyone with an interest in Boreatton can come along and we would welcome you if you choose to do so.

Before the AGM we have the annual and traditional St Georges Day Parade.  This is between 2.00 and around 3.45 on Sunday the 24th of April.  St George is the patron Saint of Scouting and to celebrate his day (the 23rd of April) Corps who lead the parade.

We will gather for 2.00 in the grounds of Shrewsbury Castle, the parade sets off at 2.20 to march through Shrewsbury, going to St Chads where there will be a short service.  We will then form up over the road in the Quarry where we will be dismissed at about 3.45 and parents can take you away.

Clean Scout shirt, ironed necker, school trousers or skirt and polished shoes please.  We may also need some change if there is a collection during the service.  Please make every effort to attend!
