The Zombie Apocalypse Survival Camp

So, the whole of our area has been infested with zombies apart from, lucky for us, Bentley Marsh Coppice. Are you tough enough to survive overnight in a bivouac you have built, eating food you have cooked on a wood fire and waiting for the Baschurch Guides to clear out the flesh eating monsters? We will meet up at Bentley Marsh Coppice on Friday 7th July at 6.30 pm and leave at 10.00 am on Saturday 8th July. You need to book by Eventbrite at the link; https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-zombie-apocalypse-camp-tickets-666218687027 Booking will finish on Wednesday July 5th as we need exact numbers for food. The camp is free and we will provide food, materials for shelter building and fire making. We will also be using bushcraft knives and saws. If you would like to bring your own knife that is fine but we can only allow locking or fixed blade knives - NO multitools, Swiss Army knives etc, the blades have a bad habit of closing on fingers (I know - I have the scars!). It's Caving Time...Friday 23rd June

Yippee! It's caving time. To attend you will need to have come to last Fridays caving prep meeting. There will be 2 sessions, 6.30 till 8.00, or 8.00 till 9.30. Please book by cutting and pasting the appropriate Eventbrite link. We are limited to 10 Scouts per session. YOU MUST ALSO BRING A COMPLETED COPY OF THE PERMISSION FORM. We will be running to a very tight schedule so please arrive 10 minutes early - DO NOT BE LATE! You have been told what to wear but for those with a short memory you need to wear old clothes that are tough, long trousers eg jeans, a tough coat and old trainers not walking boots. You will get wet and covered in mud so you may also want a change of clothes to go home in or a couple of bin liners to sit on. Knee pads will be good if you have them. ANYONE WAITING TO BE INVESTED WILL BE INVESTED UNDERGROUND. The car park opposite the cave is small so please drop off and leave, we won't have enough room for people to wait. Sailing, Friday 21st July

Friday the 21st of July is our last meeting before the summer holidays so lets go sailing at Whitemere. Start time is early - arrive at 6.15PM to start at 6.30, finishing about 8.30. PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME. Parents are very welcome to stay. Please dress for getting wet so either a wet suit or old clothes would be good. Please also bring a change of clothes and a towel, there are showers in the club house. The cost is subsidised but we ask for a contribution of £5 please.
